Smart Energy in Offices Recognizes Top Performers

On June 6, 2017, Duke Energy hosted its second annual Smart Energy in Offices (SEiO) operator forum and awards ceremony. SEiO is dedicated to helping commercial office buildings find ways to reduce energy consumption. By making changes to overall building systems and working with tenants to change behaviors, the program finds ways to save energy and offers buildings the tools to measure success.

SEiO has worked with more than 200 offices comprising more than 33 million square feet of commercial office space across five metro areas in the Carolinas, and continues to expand. This year’s ceremony was held at the Sheraton in Uptown Charlotte and recognized 15 different organizations. Offices were awarded diamond, gold, silver and bronze awards.
