Get to Know Your SEiO Team

SEiO is pleased to introduce our newest engagement team managers, Mike Trofe and Gina Zahran, focused on helping you find SEiO success in 2017. Mike and Gina, both located in the Greater Charlotte area, joined the SEiO team in November 2016. Read on to learn a little bit more about them and our Program Manager, Julie Hyde.

Michael Trofe (pronounced Trophy) comes to SEiO with a background of providing excellence in facilities services and project management. He joins the SEiO team as Energy Efficiency Engagement Manager, focused on developing and maintaining relationships with commercial building owners, managers, engineers and tenants across NC and SC. An avid motorcyclist, Mike enjoys road trips on his Harley Davidson and spending time in the great outdoors with friends and family, including his wife Lisa, two children, Abigail and Alex, and a number of family pets.

We asked Mike five questions to get to know him a little better:

1. Are you a Charlotte native? If not, how long have you lived here? I am not a Charlotte native. I moved here almost 2 years ago from Hammonton NJ, (the Blueberry capital of the world) a suburb of Philadelphia.

2. What’s something on your bucket list? I would like to visit the Galapagos Islands.

3. If you were an animal, what would you be? Eagle/hawk

4. Do you prefer to read on e-reader or traditional book? I prefer old fashioned paper books/magazines.

5. Favorite place to eat in Charlotte? What about favorite place to eat out of town? Charlotte: Midwood BBQ; Outside Charlotte: Bobby Flay’s steakhouse in Atlantic City, NJ

Mike can be reached at mike@smartenergyinoffices.com or at 609.949.4497.

Gina Zahran (pronounced like “Karen” but with a “Z”) has joined SEiO as Energy Efficiency Engagement Manager, with a focus on engaging program participants at the facility and management level. Gina has 16 years of electric utility experience, previously working for Duke Energy and TECO Energy in Process Re-Engineering and Call Center Management. She was President of a National Marketing Research firm, and President of the Marketing Research Association of Florida. She holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Gina enjoys supporting Labrador Retriever Rescue (she has two of her own), playing golf, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

We asked Gina five questions to get to know her a little better:

1. Are you a Charlotte native? If not, how long have you lived here? No, I am originally from Greensboro, NC, but I lived in Charlotte for eight years, 17 years ago! I just moved back to Charlotte in June 2016.

2. What’s something on your bucket list? Travelling to Italy & Spain.

3. If you were an animal, what would you be? My dog!!!

4. Do you prefer to read on e-reader or a traditional book? Great question, and it depends on where I’m reading - real book in front of a fire, tablet on the beach.

5. Favorite place to eat in Charlotte? What about favorite place to eat out of town? Not sure yet, I have a lot of new exploring to do. So many great restaurants local and abroad, hard to pick one.

Gina can be reached at gina@smartenergyinoffices.com or 954.675.8888.
